Recipes for Killer Hot Chocolate
Coco Loco Mocha Choco
1 tablespoon espresso flavored syrup.
1 tablespoon coconut flavored syrup.
Garnish with pineapple (canned will be fine, since it’s out of season).
Use coconut flavored rum as optional alcoholic addition. You could also add Starbucks coffee liquor or Kahula.
Chocolate Covered Cherries
2 tablespoons cherry flavored syrup.
1 teaspoon vanilla flavored syrup.
Top with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and a maraschino cherry.
Add a shot of bourbon for a little spice.
Peppermint Patty
2 tablespoons peppermint flavored syrup.
Add whipped cream and chop up some Andes chocolate mint candy to top.
For the alcoholic version, replace the syrup with crème de menthe.
Egg Nog
Instead of using milk as the base, use egg nog. Be careful not to get it too hot, egg nog will solidify and burn much easier than milk.
Add whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Add a little rum on an extra cold night.
Café Borgia
1 tablespoon orange or Valencia flavored syrup.
Nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon.
Add a dash of bourbon for a little more oomph.
