I ended up keeping half of my tenant’s security deposit, does this count as income that I need to declare?

I own and lived in a condo unit for four years. On June 2007 I decided to buy a house with my boyfriend and move in it but I don't want to sell my condo property yet. As result, I kept the condo property renting it for a value that barely pay the expenses of it (mortgage, assoc fees, taxes, etc).
What are my taxes responsabilities on that property?

Basically any costs that you incur for keeping your property up are deductible. Maintaining the yard and the outside of your building or home are all considered maintenance costs and are deductible according to the IRS. For example, the costs you pay to get the windows cleaned and to service your lawn mower are deductible.
