I don't know if he provides coverage in Kansas City, but J.W. Brinkley (972-492-9499) has always been able to rescue me from high insurance premiums and low amounts of coverage that seem to be part of the package.

We have a large modern apartment community in an affluent area of a sunbelt city. Our occupancy has suffered recently as a result of a slight oversupply of apartments in the area and condo conversion properties that have come back to the market as apartments.

We would appreciate helpful suggestions about how we should improve our occupancy. Our rent structure is reasonable. We need to increase our “traffic”. That means we need to get more people to come into the property from all sources for a showing. Once they are there they will recognize the value and the quality.

Presently, we use the normal channels of marketing in the apartment house industry (internet sites, print media, resident referrals programs, etc.) Our programs are quite standard for the industry. We need some fresh creative ideas and outside the box thinking on better ways to appeal to and attract new residents.

All serious marketing ideas would be appreciated

I own a 32 unit complex in Kansas City. The past several years my property insurance cost has gone through the roof. I am being told that the small owner is being priced out of the market by the cost of insurance. Is anyone else experiencing this? Can anyone provide me with the name(s) of insurance companies that are charging reasonable rates? Thanks.
