My apartment has 33 units, with a undergroud parking garage. Each tenant has an assigned parking spot.
One of tanants is a handicapped person. He asks me to provide a reserved parking spot which is wider than the regular spots in the tenant parking garage, and close to the door. He said it is required by Law.
Is that true? Which law says that? Do I have to do that? What if I don't? Can I ask him to park his car in the handicap parking spot outside of the building in the visitor parking lot.

You are required by law to have Handicap parking. You are also required by law to have the ramp and the blue lines and sign. If you don't, if you resident is smart he could call Fair Housing on you. That could possibly open up a whole new can of worms. You could also have him park in the vistor spot temporarly until you can better accomodate him.
