I am renter who moved into a house with brand new HW floors. My landlord is very sensitive and protective of the flooring. I have 2 kids and 2 pets and an active lifestyle and basically the HW floors don't look as new as they used to in certain parts. I want to be proactive about this with my LL when she does a walk through in a couple weeks. I imagine she'll find the condition to be worse than normal w&t. What can I offer in the way of compensation? There are no deep gouges or scratches; a few minor scratches but mostly scuffs. I seem to recall agreeing to pay for repairs at $8/square foot from a previous rental. Any ideas?

If you want your security deposit back, I would suggest you to have someone to clean and shine the floor, there are a lot of hardwood floor specialists just look in the yellow pages and get it done .
