Irish Setter
- Energetic, intelligent, affectionate, high spirited, full of energy, loveable and impulsive.
- Gets along with other animals and children but can be jealous and sensitive.
- Difficult to train because of strong will and independence, can pick up bad habits easily.
- Good hunters, swift, good sense of smell, easily housebroken.
- Max 75 pounds.
- Health problems may include skin rashes and allergies, bloat, eye problems, ear inflammation, elbow and hip dysplasia, autoimmune disease and hypothyroidism.
- Average shedder, daily brushing, bathe and dry shampoo only when necessary.
- Not recommended for apartment living due to high exercise needs and activity levels.
Jack Russell Terrier
- Perky, happy, devoted, loving to family and friendly with children.
- Spirited yet obedient, careful yet amusing, enjoys playing with people and toys.
- Intelligent, willful and determined.
- Can be aggressive with other dogs, can be restless and destructive if not kept occupied and entertained.
- Max 18 pounds.
- Health problems may include dislocation of the kneecaps, inherited eye diseases and deafness.
- Easy to groom bathe only when necessary.
- Ok in apartments, need to be exercised frequently, very active indoors and someone should be home with the animal during the day unless it is crate trained.
Labrador Retriever
- Loving, affectionate, loveable and patient.
- High spirited, lovely, good natured and they love to play.
- Good with kids and other dogs, easy to train.
- Can be destructive if left alone for long periods of time, need human attention and need to feel part of the family.
- Max 75 pounds.
- Health problems may include hip and elbow dysplasia and eye disorders.
- Easy to groom, average shedder.
- Ok in apartments, but are highly energetic dogs and need a good amount of exercise.
